Marbled Infinity: A Tranquil Sales Center Reception

Exploring Boundless Possibilities in Design

Inspired by the environmental characteristics of the site, Fu Mei Chiu emphasizes the integrity of structure and form, as well as the texture of materials and decorations. The result is a design that exudes tranquility and elegance. The unembellished white marble counter, subtly underlining the visual focus, seamlessly integrates into the scenery. It resembles a glacier covered with silver and white snow, residing with silent tolerance.

Adding to the visual appeal is a black bench with an elegant curvature, forming a perfect visual triangle with the marble counter. The juxtaposition of black and white, light and dark, creates a unique and captivating atmosphere. The design aims to achieve a consistency of space and maximize the value of contextual art, providing an extended perception of the essence of space.

The realization of the Marbled Infinity design involved importing a single piece of marble for the counter. Due to its weight, the contractors positioned it before the flooring construction. The floor material was then laid along the edge of the counter, spreading outward to blend in with the surrounding landscape. The stability of the marble creates a natural scenery within the space.

The Marbled Infinity sales center reception spans an area of 248 square meters. The materials used include thin slab tiles, natural stone (Carrara white marble), metallic laminate, and titanium plated metal. The design project was completed in June 2019 in Taichung, Taiwan.

This design has garnered recognition and acclaim, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. The award recognizes the outstanding creativity and ingenuity of the Marbled Infinity design, which authentically combines experience and resourcefulness. It showcases strong technical and creative skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life and making the world a better place.
